•Journal Article
Papillary microcarcinoma of the thyroid gland: analysis of prognostic factors including histological subtype.
TL;DR: Papillary microcarcinoma has an excellent prognosis if managed initially by total thyroidectomy and, for lymph node metastases, laterocervical lymphadenectomy.

Hepatic echinococcus disease: our experience over 22 years.
TL;DR: The most effective treatment for echinococcus cystic disease of the liver is radical surgery and results are best when surgery is combined with medical therapy of benzoimidazole drugs given pre- and post-operatively.

Di Matteo G,Pescarmona E,Nadia Peparini,Di Matteo Fm,Zeri Kp,Domenico Mascagni,Mele R,Alessandro Maturo,Adriano Redler,De Antoni E +9 more
TL;DR: Findings suggest that a nuclear c-kit expression in gastrointestinal stromal tumors is consistent with a neural differentiation, and the mitotic rate has demonstrated a significant influence on the prognosis of gastrointestinal stromaal tumors.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the expression of SENP8, SAE1, PIAS1,PIAS2 and ZMIZ1 is deregulated in the majority of PTC tissues, likely contributing to the PTC phenotype, but differently from other human cancers, their mRNA level does not represent a prognostic biomarker in PTC patients.

Thyroid cancer: surgical experience with 322 cases.
TL;DR: The low morbidity and good long-term results justify the use of this procedure in all patients with thyroid malignancies, and skilled surgeons should be able to perform total thyroidectomy safely.
