Myocardial Deformation Analysis in MYBPC3 and MYH7 Related Sarcomeric Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy—The Graz Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Registry
Viktoria Höller,Heidelis A. Seebacher,David Zach,Nora Schwegel,Klemens Ablasser,Ewald Kolesnik,Johannes Gollmer,Gert Waltl,Peter P. Rainer,Sarah Verheyen,Andreas Zirlik,Nicolas Verheyen +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared myocardial strain parameters between MYBPC3 and MYH7 mutation carriers with proven HCM and found no significant differences between the two groups with regard to left ventricular global longitudinal strain (estimated marginal means ± standard deviation: -16.9 ± 0.807) and right ventricular 6-segments endocardial (right ventricular) strain (-24.3 ± 1.5%).

Spatial relationship between mitral valve and ventricular septum assessed by resting echocardiography to diagnose left ventricular outflow tract obstruction in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
Nicolas Verheyen,Angelika Batzner,David Zach,Andreas Zirlik,Brenda Gerull,Stefan Frantz,Christoph Maack,Stefan Störk,Hubert Seggewiss,Caroline Morbach +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated whether echocardiography-derived parameters obtained at rest can aid to determine the presence of left ventricular outflow tract obstruction (LVOTO) in persons with HCM.
Prevalence and prognostic impact of bone disease in chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.
N. Verheyen,Johannes Schmid,Ewald Kolesnik,N. Schwegel,Johannes Späth,L. Kattnig,Hermann S. Riepl,David Zach,Viktoria Santner,Viktoria Höller,Stefan Pilz,Andreas Tomaschitz,Michael Fuchsjäger,A. Fahrleitner-Pammer,H. Dimai,Barbara Obermayer-Pietsch,Friedrich Fruhwald,Daniel Scherr,A. Zirlik,Dirk von Lewinski,Klemens Ablasser +20 more
TL;DR: High prevalence of bone disease in chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction and its prognostic impact on cardiovascular mortality and heart failure hospitalization.

Non-eligibility for pivotal HFpEF/HFmrEF outcome trials and mortality in a contemporary heart failure cohort.
V. Santner,Hermann S. Riepl,Florian Posch,Markus Wallner,Peter P. Rainer,Klemens Ablasser,Ewald Kolesnik,Viktoria Hoeller,David Zach,N. Schwegel,Philipp Kreuzer,Andreas Lueger,Johannes Petutschnigg,Burkert Pieske,Andreas Zirlik,Frank Edelmann,Nicolas Verheyen +16 more
TL;DR: In a contemporary HFpEF/HFmrEF cohort, non-eligibility for outcome trials predicted for strongly increased mortality and patients at highest mortality risk were likely underrepresented in previous outcome trials.
