Foundations of Quaternion Quantum Mechanics
TL;DR: In this article, a new kind of quantum mechanics using inner products, matrix elements, and coefficients assuming values that are quaternionic (and thus noncommutative) instead of complex is developed.

Characters of Irreducible Representations of the Simple Groups. I. General Theory
TL;DR: In this paper, new formulas for the characters of irreducible representations of simple groups are presented, which yield the character directly as a sum instead of a quotient as does Weyl's formula, based on the properties of the regular lattice associated with every simple group in the ''global'' theory of Lie groups.

Characters of Irreducible Representations of the Simple Groups. II. Application to Classical Groups
TL;DR: In this article, the characters of irreducible representation of simple Lie groups are developed in the case of the classical groups: the four series Al, Bl, Cl, Dl plus the exceptional case G2.

Possible schemes for global symmetry
David Speiser,Jan Tarski +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an attempt was made to determine all possible schemes for global symmetry as representations of groups, and a detailed summary of group-theoretic methods was included, and the physical interpretation of the schemes is discussed.
