Synthesis, complexation, and X-ray structure of a new type of binucleating macrocycle incorporating both soft and hard ligating sites
TL;DR: In this paper, a macrocyclic ligand with both a Schiff base moiety and a polyether cavity forms mono-and bi-nuclear complexes, and X-ray analysis of the mononuclear Ba(ClO4)2 complex shows that Ba2+ is co-ordinated in the poly-ether cavity.

Design and realization of a surface plasmon resonance-based chemo-optical sensor
TL;DR: In this paper, surface plasmon resonance is applied for sensing concentrations of ammonia in air, using a thin bromo-cresol purple layer as a chemo-optical interface.
A modular approach to potential synthetic receptors with large surfaces based on crown[n]cavitands
Irene Higler,Harold Boerrigter,Willem Verboom,Huub Kooijman,Anthony L. Spek,David N. Reinhoudt +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, 1,2-crown[n]cavitands with polyethyleneglycol ditosylates were synthesized by alkylation.

Patterned monolayers of nitronyl nitroxide radicals
TL;DR: In this article, the results of the preliminary characterization of the monolayer obtained both by self-assembling and microcontact printing of a di-alkyl sulfide nitronyl nitroxide derivative, 11-decyl sulfanyl-undecanyl (S-SNO)-nondecanyl NN oxide, were reported.

Synthesis of mitomycin C analogs. 1. Introduction of the urethane function at C-10 of the pyrrolo[1,2-a]indole skeleton
TL;DR: Etude de la synthese du carbamoyloxymethyl-9 tetrahydro-2,3,9,9a pyrrolo [1,2-a] indole et de son derive cyano-9 a partir des alcoxy-3pyrrolidino-2' phenyl-2 acrylonitriles.
