Independent predictors of prolonged operative time during robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy
TL;DR: Multivariable logistic regression revealed four independent predictors of prolonged operative time: blood loss, pre-operative PSA, robot malfunction, and gland volume, which may assist in surgical planning and improve resource utilization.

Donor age is the most important predictor of long term graft function in donation after cardiac death simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation: A retrospective study.
Jingwen Chen,David Mikhail,Hemant Sharma,Jeffrey Jevnikar,Matthew Cooper,Patrick P. Luke,Alp Sener +6 more
TL;DR: Donor age and BMI are significant predictors of DCD-SPK outcomes, and graft age appears to be as good a predictor of outcome as PDRI and KDRI.

Initial experience and cancer detection rates of office-based transperineal magnetic resonance imaging-ultrasound fusion prostate biopsy under local anesthesia.
Zachary Kozel,Clay D. Martin,David Mikhail,Aaron Smith,Luke Griffiths,Daniel Nethala,Manish Vira,Michael S Schwartz +7 more
TL;DR: Office-based transperineal fusion biopsy represents a viable approach to prostate cancer detection following prostate MRI and larger-scale assessment is needed to categorize cancer detection rates more accurately by PI-RADs subset, patient selection factors, complication rate, and cost relative to TFB under anesthesia.
Outcome prediction in bariatric surgery through video-based assessment
Poppy Addison,Daniel Bitner,Katherine Carsky,Saratu Kutana,Samuel P. Dechario,Anthony C. Antonacci,David Mikhail,Samuel Pettit,Paul J. Chung,Filippo Filicori +9 more
TL;DR: For patients undergoing sleeve Gastrectomy, surgical skill as assessed by the GEARS score was correlated with EWL, suggesting that better performance of a sleeve gastrectomy can result in improved postoperative weight loss.
