Occupational Exposure to Extremely Low-Frequency Magnetic Fields and Brain Tumor Risks in the INTEROCC Study
Michelle C. Turner,Geza Benke,Joseph D. Bowman,Jordi Figuerola,Sarah Fleming Fleming,Martine Hours,Laurel Kincl,Daniel Krewski,David McLean,Marie-Élise Parent,Lesley Richardson,Siegal Sadetzki,Klaus Schlaefer,Brigitte Schlehofer,Joachim Schüz,Jack Siemiatycki,Martie van Tongeren,Elisabeth Cardis +17 more
TL;DR: Positive associations between ELF in the recent past and glioma were showed, suggesting that occupational ELF exposure may play a role in the later stages (promotion and progression) of brain tumorigenesis.
Lung cancer and occupation: A new zealand cancer registry‐based case–control study
Marine Corbin,David McLean,Andrea 't Mannetje,Evan Dryson,Chris Walls,Fiona McKenzie,Milena Maule,Soo Cheng,Chris Cunningham,Hans Kromhout,Aaron Blair,Neil Pearce,Neil Pearce +12 more

Metagenomic detection of viruses in aerosol samples from workers in animal slaughterhouses.
Richard J. Hall,Mily Leblanc-Maridor,Jing Wang,Xiaoyun Ren,Nicole E. Moore,Collin Brooks,Matthew Peacey,Jeroen Douwes,David McLean +8 more
TL;DR: The first metagenomic description of personal aerosol exposure is presented and this methodology could be applied to a variety of environments and the detection of two candidate viruses warrants further investigation in the setting of occupational exposures in animal slaughterhouses.
Lifetime occupational exposure to metals and welding fumes, and risk of glioma: a 7-country population-based case–control study
Marie-Élise Parent,Marie-Élise Parent,Michelle C. Turner,Jérôme Lavoué,Hugues Richard,Jordi Figuerola,Laurel Kincl,Lesley Richardson,Geza Benke,Maria Blettner,Sarah Fleming Fleming,Martine Hours,Daniel Krewski,David McLean,Siegal Sadetzki,Siegal Sadetzki,Klaus Schlaefer,Brigitte Schlehofer,Joachim Schüz,Jack Siemiatycki,Martie van Tongeren,Elisabeth Cardis +21 more
TL;DR: Findings from this large-scale international study provide no evidence for an association between occupational exposure to any of the metals under scrutiny or welding fumes, and risk of glioma.
