The effect of room temperature ionic liquids on the selective biocatalytic hydrolysis of chitin via sequential or simultaneous strategies
Eric Husson,Caroline Hadad,Gaël Huet,Sylvain Laclef,David Lesur,Virginie Lambertyn,Arash Jamali,Sébastien Gottis,Catherine Sarazin,A. Nguyen van Nhien +9 more
TL;DR: An efficient conversion of chitin, the second most abundant renewable polymer on the Earth, into N-acetylglucosamine and N,N′-diacetylchitobiose, using room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) and commercially available chit inases is described for the first time.

A click procedure with heterogeneous copper to tether technetium-99m chelating agents and rhenium complexes. Evaluation of the chelating properties and biodistribution of the new radiolabelled glucose conjugates.
Eric Benoist,Yvon Coulais,Mehdi Almant,José Kovensky,Vincent Moreau,David Lesur,Marine Artigau,Claude Picard,Chantal Galaup,Sébastien G. Gouin +9 more
TL;DR: An efficient protocol was developed to tether chelating agents and rhenium complexes onto a glucoside scaffold with a heterogeneous copper catalyst via click chemistry and M(CO)(3)-glucoconjugates displayed excellent in vitro stability, a fast in vivo blood clearance and a low specific organ uptake or long-term retention in spleen and stomach.

Arylnaphthalene and aryltetralin-type lignans in hairy root cultures of Linum perenne, and the stereochemistry of 6-methoxypodophyllotoxin and one diastereoisomer by HPLC-MS and NMR spectroscopy.
Nathalie Jullian-Pawlicki,Michelle Lequart-Pillon,Luyen Huynh-Cong,Luyen Huynh-Cong,David Lesur,Dominique Cailleu,François Mesnard,Jean Claude Laberche,Eric Gontier,Michèle Boitel-Conti +9 more
TL;DR: Arylnaphthalene and two diastereoisomers of aryltetralin-type lignans are produced in Linum perenne hairy root cultures, the first report of the stereochemical configurations of an arygtetral in- type lignan other than podophyllotoxin (PTOX).

Unprecedented Thiacalixarene Fucoclusters as Strong Inhibitors of Ebola cis-Cell Infection and HCMV-gB Glycoprotein/DC-SIGN C-type Lectin Interaction
Marwa Taouai,Marwa Taouai,Vanessa Porkolab,Khouloud Chakroun,Khouloud Chakroun,Coraline Chéneau,Joanna Luczkowiak,Rym Abidi,David Lesur,Peter J. Cragg,Franck Halary,Rafael Delgado,Franck Fieschi,Mohammed Benazza +13 more
TL;DR: The synthesis of the first water-soluble tetravalent fucocluster pseudopeptide-based 1,3-alternate thiacalixarenes as viral antigen mimics designed for the inhibition of DC-SIGN, to prevent viral particle uptake is described.

A simple procedure to obtain a medium-size oligogalacturonic acids fraction from orange peel and apple pomace wastes
María Emilia Cano,Alberto García-Martín,Miguel Ladero,David Lesur,Serge Pilard,José Kovensky,José Kovensky +6 more
TL;DR: Three defined oligogalacturonic acid mixtures were produced from commercial pectin, orange peel and apple pomace residues and were completely characterized by mass spectrometry, showing that the small size, medium size and large size fractions contained OGAs of degree of polymerization 3 to 9, 6 to 18, and 16 to 55, respectively.
