TL;DR: This study attempts to model numerically the deposition of monocytes using large eddy simulation, discrete phase modelling and near-wall particle residence time to identify a critical diameter beyond which significant monocyte deposition is expected to occur in abdominal aortic aneurysms.

Compressed vessels bias red blood cell partitioning at bifurcations in a hematocrit-dependent manner: Implications in tumor blood flow.
TL;DR: In this article, the impact of vessel compression on red blood cell (RBC) dynamics in tumor vascular networks is investigated and a reduced-order model is proposed to investigate how these effects propagate at a whole vascular network level.

Mathematical modelling of oxygen transport in a muscle-on-chip device
TL;DR: It is shown that an enclosed bioreactor can provide sufficient oxygen for muscle cell survival and growth and a more efficient arrangement of muscle and perfusion chambers is defined that can sustain a predicted 50% increase in maximum muscle volume per perfusion vessel.
Correction to ‘Mathematical modelling of oxygen transport in a muscle-on-chip device’ (2022) by Hardman et al.
TL;DR: In this article , the authors correct the article DOI: 10.1098/rsfs.2022.0020 and 10.2098/RSFS.202022, respectively.
