Toward a rational design of poly(2,7-carbazole) derivatives for solar cells.
Nicolas Blouin,Alexandre Michaud,David Gendron,Salem Wakim,Emily Blair,Rodica Neagu-Plesu,Michel Belletête,Gilles Durocher,Ye Tao,Mario Leclerc +9 more
TL;DR: This study reveals that the alternating copolymer HOMO energy level is mainly fixed by the carbazole moiety, whereas the LUMO energylevel is mainly related to the nature of the electron-withdrawing comonomer.

New conjugated polymers for plastic solar cells
David Gendron,Mario Leclerc +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors gave an overview of four of the most promising classes of conjugated polymers for plastic solar cells, namely poly(2,7-carbazole), poly(1,4-diketopyrrolopyrrole)s, poly(thieno[3, 4-b]thiophene)s and poly(naphase-4,6-dione)s.

Germafluorenes: New Heterocycles for Plastic Electronics
Nicolas Allard,Réda Badrou Aïch,Réda Badrou Aïch,David Gendron,Pierre-Luc T. Boudreault,Christian Tessier,Salima Alem,Shing-Chi Tse,Ye Tao,Mario Leclerc +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and characterization of new heterofluorene derivatives based on germanium are described, and the resulting homopolymers and alternating copolymers have been characterized by size exclusion chromatography, thermal analyses (TGA and DSC), UV−vis−NIR absorption spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and cyclic voltammetry.
Synthesis and Photovoltaic Properties of Poly(dithieno[3,2-b:2′,3′-d]germole) Derivatives
David Gendron,Pierre-Olivier Morin,Philippe Berrouard,Nicolas Allard,Badrou Réda Aïch,Badrou Réda Aïch,Christian N. Garon,Ye Tao,Mario Leclerc +8 more
TL;DR: A series of new dithieno[3,2-b:2′,3′-d]germole copolymers have been synthesized and characterized.
