Discovery and in Vivo Evaluation of Dual PI3Kβ/δ Inhibitors
Felix Gonzalez-Lopez de Turiso,Youngsook Shin,Matthew Frank Brown,Mario G. Cardozo,Yi Chen,David Fong,Xiaolin Hao,Xiao He,Kirk Henne,Yi-Ling Hu,Michael G. Johnson,Todd J. Kohn,Julia Winslow Lohman,Helen J. McBride,Lawrence R. McGee,Julio C. Medina,Daniela Metz,Kent Miner,Deanna Mohn,Vatee Pattaropong,Jennifer Seganish,Jillian L. Simard,Sharon Wannberg,Douglas A. Whittington,Gang Yu,Timothy D. Cushing +25 more
TL;DR: The optimized pyrrolopyridine analogue 63 was a potent and selective PI3Kβ/δ dual inhibitor that displayed suitable physicochemical properties and pharmacokinetic profile for animal studies and was found to be efficacious in animal models of inflammation.

Potent activity of soluble B7RP-1-Fc in therapy of murine tumors in syngeneic hosts.
Gulshan Ara,Angelo Baher,Neal Storm,Tom Horan,Claudia Baikalov,Emil Brisan,Reuben Camacho,Alison Moore,Hartt Goldman,Tadahiko Kohno,Russell C. Cattley,Gwyneth Van,Kevin Gaida,Ming Zhang,John Whoriskey,David Fong,Steven Kiyoshi Yoshinaga +16 more
TL;DR: The administration of soluble B7RP‐1‐Fc may have therapeutic value in generating or enhancing anti‐tumor activity in a clinical setting and, as expected, T cells appeared to be targeted by B7 RP‐1-Fc treatment.

Development of a QPatch-Automated Electrophysiology Assay for Identifying TMEM16A Small-Molecule Inhibitors.
TL;DR: An automated, whole-cell, electrophysiology assay on the QPatch-48 to evaluate small-molecule inhibitors of TMEM16A and validate novel TMEM 16A inhibitors that were identified in the authors' high-throughput fluorescent-based assay, as well as to assist in structure–activity relationship efforts by the chemists.

Expression of ORAI1, a Plasma Membrane Resident Subunit of the CRAC Channel, in Rodent and Non-Rodent Species
Roberto E. Guzman,Eliane G. Valente,Jim Pretorius,Efrain Pacheco,Meiying Qi,Brian D. Bennett,David Fong,Fen-Fen Lin,Vivian Bi,Helen J. McBride +9 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that rodents have similar expression of ORAI1 in most tissue types when compared to primates, with an important exception being the male reproductive system, where human-specific expression is observed.
