Exploring the Electronic Band Structure of Organometal Halide Perovskite via Photoluminescence Anisotropy of Individual Nanocrystals
TL;DR: It is proposed that distortion of PbI6 octahedra leads to peculiarities of the electronic band structure close to the band-edge, resulting in polarized photoluminescence.

Influence of van der Waals interactions on morphology and dynamics in ultrathin liquid films at silicon oxide interfaces.
TL;DR: In this paper, tracer diffusion studies of evaporating ultrathin tetrakis-2-ethylhexoxysilane (TEHOS) films on silicon with 100 nm thermal oxide reveal a considerable slowdown of the molecular mobility within less than 4 nm above the substrate (corresponding to a few molecular TEHOS layers).

Correlated blinking via time dependent energy transfer in single CdSe quantum dot-dye nanoassemblies
TL;DR: Forster resonance energy transfer (FRET) was applied to self-assembled single nanoassemblies from CdSe/ZnS quantum dots (QD) and perylene diimide dye molecules as discussed by the authors.

TL;DR: Large-area self-assembly of functional conjugated polymers holds a great potential for practical applications of organic electronic devices and a correlation of polarization parameters measured using 2D POLIM revealed the microstructure of such stripes, providing valuable information for further improvement and possible upscaling of this promising method.

Cage Effect in Poly(alkyl methacrylate) Thin Films Studied by Nile Red Single Molecule Fluorescence Spectroscopy
TL;DR: In this paper, a probe-polymer cage was monitored by spectral fluctuations in the emission spectroscopy of single molecules of Nile Red in poly(alkyl methacrylate) thin films (25-200 nm).
