Effects of Light-emitting Diode Radiations on Human Retinal Pigment Epithelial Cells In Vitro
Eva Chamorro,Cristina Bonnin-Arias,María Jesús Pérez-Carrasco,Javier Muñoz de Luna,Daniel Vázquez,C. Sánchez-Ramos +5 more
TL;DR: This study indicates three light–darkness cycles of exposure to LED lighting affect in vitro HRPEpiC, and shows that LED radiations decrease 75–99% cellular viability, and increase 66–89% cellular apoptosis.

Spectral damage model for lighted museum paintings: Oil, acrylic and gouache
Santiago Mayorga Pinilla,Daniel Vázquez,Antonio Álvarez Fernández-Balbuena,Carmen Muro,Javier Muñoz +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a spectral aging test was developed to estimate the photochemical damage of oil, acrylic and gouache paints exposed to permanent lighting, and the test was performed using two different irradiation levels in ten exposure series.

The role of emotional dependence in the relationship between attachment and impulsive behavior
Ana Estévez,María Dolores Chávez-Vera,Janire Momeñe,Leticia Olave,Daniel Vázquez,Itziar Iruarrizaga +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the relation between emotional dependence, attachment and the impulsive behavior, as well as, to analyze if these final two can predict the emotional dependence and, finally, they analyzed the differences of gender in the three mentioned variables.
Energy optimization of a light projection system for buildings that virtually restores artworks
Daniel Vázquez,Antonio Álvarez Fernández-Balbuena,Hector A. Canabal,Carmen Muro,Dorukalp Durmus,Wendy Davis,Anto J. Benítez,Santiagu Mayorga +7 more
TL;DR: The development of a light projection system that achieves this goal by studying and modifying the spectral output, compared to conventional illumination, is described, and results show that, when the aged printed image is illuminated with the optimized light source, it appears indistinguishable from the non-aged oil painting.

Eyewear lens production by multi-layer additive techniques
Andrew John McKenzie,David Mark Ambler,Daniel Vázquez,José Alonso Fernández,Juan Antonio Quiroga +4 more
- 26 Mar 2014
TL;DR: In this article, an additive processing method is used to produce a customized eyewear lens by selectively building layers of radiation-polymerized material onto a lens substrate that has optical power properties discernibly different from the optical properties of the customized lens.
