Ultrafast Charge Carrier Relaxation in Inorganic Halide Perovskite Single Crystals Probed by Two-Dimensional Electronic Spectroscopy.
Xuan Trung Nguyen,Daniel Timmer,Yevgeny Rakita,David Cahen,Alexander Steinhoff,Frank Jahnke,Christoph Lienau,Antonietta De Sio +7 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that strong electron-phonon couplings lead to ultrafast relaxation of charge carriers, which, in turn, may limit halide perovskites' carrier mobilities.

Charge Delocalization and Vibronic Couplings in Quadrupolar Squaraine Dyes.
Daniel Timmer,Fulu Zheng,Moritz Gittinger,Thomas Quenzel,Daniel C. Lünemann,Katrin Winte,Yu Zhang,Mohamed Madjet,Jennifer Zablocki,Arne Lützen,Jin-Hui Zhong,Antonietta De Sio,Thomas Frauenheim,Sergei Tretiak,Christoph Lienau +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors combine time-resolved vibrational spectroscopy, two-dimensional electronic and quantum-chemical simulations to test and rationalize these predictions for nonaggregated molecules and find small Huang-Rhys factors below 0.01 for the high frequency, 1500 cm-1 modes in particular, as well as a noticeable reduction for those of lower frequency modes in general for the electronic S0 → S1 transition.

Plasmon mediated coherent population oscillations in molecular aggregates
Daniel Timmer,Moritz Gittinger,Thomas Quenzel,S. Stephan,Yu Zhang,Marvin F. Schumacher,Arne Lützen,Martin Silies,Sergei Tretiak,Jin-Hui Zhong,Antonietta De Sio,Christoph Lienau +11 more
TL;DR: Researchers use ultrafast spectroscopy to study quantum dynamics of excitons coupled to plasmonic fields in gold nanoslit arrays, observing coherent Rabi oscillations and plasmon-driven exciton population transfer at room temperature.
Tracking the Electron Transfer Cascade in European Robin Cryptochrome 4 Mutants
Daniel Timmer,Anders Frederiksen,Daniel C. Lünemann,Anitta Rose Thomas,Jingjing Xu,Rabea Bartölke,J. Schmidt,Tomáš Kubař,Antonietta De Sio,Ilia A. Solov'yov,Henrik Mouritsen,Christoph Lienau +11 more
TL;DR: The experimental results are evaluated and discussed in connection with Marcus-Hopfield theory, providing a complete microscopic insight into the sequential electron transfers across the tryptophan chain and a path to studying spin transport and dynamical spin correlations in flavoprotein radical pairs.

Plasmon-Enhanced Exciton Delocalization in Squaraine-Type Molecular Aggregates.
Thomas Quenzel,Daniel Timmer,Moritz Gittinger,Jennifer Zablocki,Fulu Zheng,Manuela Schiek,Arne Lützen,Thomas Frauenheim,Sergei Tretiak,Martin Silies,Jin-Hui Zhong,Antonietta De Sio,Christoph Lienau +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors demonstrate that the exciton coherence length of squaraine aggregates can be increased from 10 to 24 molecular units at room temperature when preparing the aggregated thin film on a metallic rather than a dielectric substrate.
