A novel cyclometallated Pt(II)–ferrocene complex induces nuclear FOXO3a localization and apoptosis and synergizes with cisplatin to inhibit lung cancer cell proliferation
Roldán Cortés,Míriam Tarrado-Castellarnau,Daniel Talancón,Concepción López,Wolfgang Link,Daniel Ruiz,Josep J. Centelles,Josefina Quirante,Marta Cascante +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the antiproliferative activity of a diastereomerically pure cycloplatinated complex (Sp,1S,2R)-[Pt{(κ2-C,N)[(η5-C5H3)]-CHN-CH(Me)−CH(OH)

Calibrating the coordination chemistry tool chest: metrics of bi- and tridentate ligands
TL;DR: A structural database study of over one hundred bi- and tridentate ligands is presented that allows us to parametrize their coordinating properties and discuss the relevance of such parameters for the choice of coordination polyhedron or coordination sites.
Diastereomerically pure platinum(II) complexes as antitumoral agents.: The influence of the mode of binding {(N), (N,O)- or (C,N)}- of (1S,2R)[(η5-C5H5)Fe{(η5-C5H4)CHNCH(Me)CH(OH)C6H5}] and the arrangement of the auxiliary ligands.

TL;DR: The potency of the complexes is strongly dependent on the mode of binding of the iminoalcohol, the relative arrangement of the monodentate ligands (in 2a-5a), and the planar chirality of the 1,2-ferrocenylunit in (6a and 7a).

Study of the effect induced by the substituents on the ring-chain tautomerism of Schiff bases derived from norephedrine.
TL;DR: NMR studies show the existence of a tautomeric equilibrium between these imine forms (2b-d) and 2-substituted 4-methyl-5-phenyloxazolidines and their analogue with R(1) = Ph (2e).

Diastereomerically Pure Heterodi- and Heterotetrametallic (Pd and Pt) Compounds: A Study of the Effect Induced by the Binding Mode of a Ferrocene-Containing Ligand on Their Electrochemical Properties
TL;DR: In this paper, the Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacion (MICINN) grant number CTQ2009-11501 (subprogram BQU) was used to support the work of the authors.
