Patent
Method for minimizing sample damage during the ablation of material using a focused ultrashort pulsed laser beam
Richard Haight,Peter P. Longo,Daniel Peter Morris,Alfred Wagner +3 more
- 20 Aug 2001
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for laser induced breakdown of a material with a pulsed laser beam where the material is characterized by a relationship of fluence breakdown threshold (Fth) versus laser beam pulse width (T) that exhibits an abrupt, rapid, and distinct change or at least a clearly detectable change in slope at a predetermined laser pulse width value.

Probe structure having a plurality of discrete insulated probe tips projecting from a support surface, apparatus for use thereof and methods of fabrication thereof
Brian Samuel Beaman,Keith E. Fogel,Paul A. Lauro,Yun-Hsin Liao,Daniel Peter Morris,Da-Yuan Shih +5 more
- 01 Feb 2002
TL;DR: In this article, a plurality of discrete insulated elongated electrical conductors projecting from a support surface are used as probes for testing of electrical interconnections to electronic devices, such as integrated circuit devices and other electronic components.

Portable computer systems with thermal enhancements and multiple power modes of operation
Lawrence Shungwei Mok,Daniel Peter Morris +1 more
- 26 Dec 2008
TL;DR: In this article, a portable computer adapted for electrical connection to a docking station having multiple power modes of operation is described, where the docking station has greater cooling capacity than the portable computer alone to provide enhanced cooling of the high power mode of operation.

Current attenuator useful in a very low leakage current measuring device
Shashi Dhar Malaviya,Daniel Peter Morris +1 more
- 24 Apr 1986
TL;DR: In this paper, an attenuator with a plurality of current dividers coupled in cascade is described, and the leakage current is equal to the known current entering the differential amplifier less the measured current divided by m, the attenuation provided by the attenuators.

Patent
Tab mounted chip burn-in apparatus
Bickford Harry Randall,Boland William Leo,Daniel Peter Morris,Reiley Timothy Clark +3 more
- 18 Jul 1989
TL;DR: In this paper, a TAB package comprises an elongated tape which has a plurality of sets of beam leads emplaced thereon and an array of electronic devices connected to the beam leads.
