Dental implant induced bone remodeling and associated algorithms.
TL;DR: An extensive review on the issues of mandibular and maxillary bone remodeling as a result of dental implantation is provided and a range of potential methods of predicting the mandible and maxilla remodeling are critically evaluated and compared.

Finite element based bone remodeling and resonance frequency analysis for osseointegration assessment of dental implants
TL;DR: Assessment of the change in the resonance frequency in line with the remodeling results from a time-dependent three-dimensional finite element simulation demonstrates a satisfactory agreement between the developed bone remodeling simulation and clinical data, thus validating the computational prediction.

- 01 Jun 2010
TL;DR: A computational biomechanics framework to address dental bone's responses as a result of dental restoration is provided and is anticipated that the study will provide a more predictive model of dental bone response and help develop a new design methodology for patient-specific dental prosthetic restoration.

Monitoring natural frequency for osseointegration and bone remodeling induced by dental implants
Wei Li,Daniel Lin,Qing Li,Michael V. Swain +3 more
- 11 May 2009
TL;DR: A predictive model is developed to relate osseointegration and bone remodeling to a progressive change in natural frequencies, thereby better utilizing the data acquired from experiments and establishing a more realistic remodeling formula.
