Crystal structure of an Escherichia coli tRNAGly microhelix at 2.0 Å resolution
Charlotte Förster,Arnd B. E. Brauer,M. Perbandt,Daniel Lehmann,J.P. Fürste,Ch. Betzel,Volker A. Erdmann +6 more
TL;DR: The crystal structure of an Escherichia coli tRNA Gly aminoacyl stem microhelix at 2.0 A resolution is presented and the helical parameters, solvent molecules and a potential magnesium binding site are discussed.

Carbon dioxide does not affect the methylation status of prognostic important oncogenes Rassf1A and DCR2 in neuroblastoma cells
TL;DR: Exposure of neuroblastoma cells to 100% CO2 does not alter methylation of two prognostic relevant index genes, and it seems unlikely that effects on methylation levels within CO2 pneumoperitoneum lead to epigenetic changes in Neuroblastoma.

Cocrystallizing natural RNA with its unnatural mirror image: biochemical and preliminary X-ray diffraction analysis of a 5S rRNA A-helix racemate.
Charlotte Förster,Arnd B. E. Brauer,Daniel Lehmann,Tordis Borowski,Svenja Brode,Jens P. Fürste,Markus Perbandt,Christian Betzel,Volker A. Erdmann +8 more
TL;DR: For a structural comparison, both L- and D-RNA oligonucleotides of a shortened Thermus flavus 5S rRNA A-helix were chemically synthesized and stochiometrically cocrystallized as a racemate, which enabled analysis of the D- and L-RNA enantiomers in the same crystals.
