Right ventricular dysfunction predicts outcome after transcatheter mitral valve repair for primary mitral valve regurgitation
Philipp M. Doldi,Lukas Stolz,Daniel Kalbacher,Benedikt Köll,Martin Geyer,Sebastian Ludwig,Mathias Orban,Daniel Braun,Ludwig T. Weckbach,Thomas J. Stocker,Michael Näbauer,Satoshi Higuchi,Tobias Ruf,Jaqueline G. da Rocha e Silva,Mirjam G. TL;DR: The presence of RVD is associated with less MR reduction, less symptomatic improvement and increased 2-year mortality, and might be included into preprocedural prognostic considerations.

Guideline‐directed medical therapy in patients undergoing transcatheter edge‐to‐edge repair for secondary mitral regurgitation
Satoshi Higuchi,Mathias Orban,Marianna Adamo,Cristina Giannini,Bruno Melica,Nicole Karam,Fabien Praz,Daniel Kalbacher,Benedikt Koell,Lukas Stolz,Daniel Braun,Michael Näbauer,Mirjam G. Wild,Philipp M. Abraham,Marco Metra,Jörg Hausleiter +35 more
TL;DR: Triple GDMT prescription is associated with higher 2-year survival after M-TEER in HFrEF patients with SMR, consistent also in patients with major comorbidities or non-optimal results after M -TEER.

Tang,Azeem Latib,Philipp Lurz,Ralph Stephan von Bardeleben,Thomas Modine,Jörg Hausleiter,Lenard Conradi +43 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors compared outcomes after transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) and mitral vessel transcathheter edge-to-edge repair (MTEER) for the treatment of secondary mitral regurgitation (SMR).

Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair in Surgical High-Risk Patients: Gender-Specific Acute and Long-Term Outcomes
Eike Tigges,Daniel Kalbacher,Christina Thomas,Sebastian Appelbaum,Florian Deuschl,Niklas Schofer,Michael Schlüter,Lenard Conradi,Johannes Schirmer,Hendrik Treede,Hermann Reichenspurner,Stefan Blankenberg,Ulrich Schäfer,Edith Lubos +13 more
TL;DR: Higher numbers of implanted clips and longer device time are likely related to more comorbidities in men, while Superior survival for women in long-term analysis is presumably attributable to a comparatively better preprocedural health.
