An interdisciplinary review of energy storage for communities: Challenges and perspectives
David Parra,Maciej Swierczynski,Daniel I. Stroe,Stuart A. Norman,Andreas Abdon,Jörg Worlitschek,Travis O'Doherty,Lucelia Rodrigues,Mark Gillott,Xiaojin Zhang,Christian Bauer,Martin Kumar Patel +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an interdisciplinary review of community energy storage with a focus on its potential role and challenges as a key element within the wider energy system, including the whole spectrum of applications and technologies with a strong emphasis on end user applications; techno-economic, environmental and social assessments of CES; and an outlook on CES from the customer, utility company and policy-maker perspectives.
Complementary analyses of aging in a commercial LiFePO4/graphite 26650 cell
Roberto Scipioni,Roberto Scipioni,Peter Stanley Jørgensen,Daniel I. Stroe,Reza Younesi,Søren Bredmose Simonsen,Poul Norby,Johan Hjelm,Søren Højgaard Jensen +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the degradation of a commercial 2.5 Ah LiFePO4/graphite 26650 cylindrical cell was investigated using FIB/SEM tomography.

Online identification of internal impedance of Li-ion battery cell using ternary-sequence injection
Jussi Sihvo,Tuomas Messo,Tomi Roinila,Roni Luhtala,Daniel I. Stroe +4 more
- 01 Sep 2018
TL;DR: In this article, the ternary-sequence excitation signal was used for battery impedance measurements, which can efficiently capture the linear component of the impedance by canceling out the distortion caused by the non-linear parts.
