Assessment of interobserver variability and histologic parameters to improve reliability in classification and grading of central cartilaginous tumors.
Daniel Eefting,Yvonne Schrage,Maartje J. A. Geirnaerdt,Saskia le Cessie,Anthonie H. M. Taminiau,Judith V.M.G. Bovée,Pancras C.W. Hogendoorn +6 more
TL;DR: This study confirms the low reliability of the diagnosis and grading of central chondrosarcoma and proposes a classification model that, combined with a tailored radiologic assessment, may improve reliability ofThe diagnosis of cartilaginous tumors.

Experience with the GORE EXCLUDER iliac branch endoprosthesis for common iliac artery aneurysms
Steven M.M. van Sterkenburg,Jan M.M. Heyligers,Mathijs van Bladel,Hence J.M. Verhagen,Daniel Eefting,Marc R.H.M. van Sambeek,Clark J. Zeebregts,Michel M.P.J. Reijnen +7 more
TL;DR: The use of the GORE EXCLUDER IBE device for CIA aneurysms is related to high procedural success, high patency rates, and low reintervention rates at short-term follow-up.

The effect of interleukin-10 knock-out and overexpression on neointima formation in hypercholesterolemic APOE*3-Leiden mice.
Daniel Eefting,Abbey Schepers,Margreet R. de Vries,Nuno Pires,Jos M. Grimbergen,Tonny Lagerweij,Lex Nagelkerken,PS Monraats,J. Wouter Jukema,J. Hajo van Bockel,Paul H.A. Quax +10 more
TL;DR: The role of IL10 is clearly demonstrated in the development of neointima formation in hypercholesterolemic mice and the potential therapeutic effect of non-viral electrodelivery of IL 10 cDNA to inhibit post-angioplasty restenosis is demonstrated.

Local lentiviral short hairpin RNA silencing of CCR2 inhibits vein graft thickening in hypercholesterolemic apolipoprotein E3-Leiden mice
Daniel Eefting,Ilze Bot,Margreet R. de Vries,Abbey Schepers,J. Hajo van Bockel,Theo J.C. Van Berkel,Erik A.L. Biessen,Erik A.L. Biessen,Paul H.A. Quax +8 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that perivascular overexpression of short hairpin RNA, targeted against CCR2, inhibits vein graft thickening in hypercholesterolemic mice, suggesting that local overexpressing of shRNA using organ-targeted lentiviral gene delivery may be a promising therapeutic tool to improve vein graft disease in bypassed patients.

Interleukin 10: a new risk marker for the development of restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention
PS Monraats,Fina A S Kurreeman,Douwe Pons,V. D. K. D. Sewgobind,FR de Vries,Aeilko H. Zwinderman,M. P. M. de Maat,P. A. Doevendans,R. J. de Winter,René A. Tio,Johannes Waltenberger,Twj Huizinga,Daniel Eefting,Paul H.A. Quax,Rune R. Frants,A. van der Laarse,E. E. van der Wall,Johan Wouter Jukema +17 more
TL;DR: The findings demonstrate that IL-10 is associated with restenosis and therefore support the hypothesis that anti-inflammatory genes also may be involved in developing restenotic, and may provide a new targeting gene for drug-eluting stents.
