Evaluation of stereotactic radiosurgery for cerebral dural arteriovenous fistulas in a multicenter international consortium
Robert M. Starke,David J McCarthy,Ching-Jen Chen,Hideyuki Kano,Brendan J McShane,John Y K Lee,David Mathieu,Lucas T Vasas,Anthony M. Kaufmann,Wei Gang Wang,Inga S. Grills,Mohana Rao Patibandla,Christopher P. Cifarelli,Gabriella Paisan,John A. Vargo,Tomas Chytka,Ladislava Janouskova,Caleb E Feliciano,Rafael Rodriguez-Mercado,Daniel A Tonetti,L. Dade Lunsford,Jason P. Sheehan +21 more
TL;DR: GKRS for cerebral dAVFs achieved obliteration and avoided permanent complications in the majority of patients and those with cavernous carotid location and no venous ectasia were more likely to have fistula obliteration following radiosurgery.
Delayed functional independence after thrombectomy: temporal characteristics and predictors.
Shashvat M Desai,Daniel A Tonetti,Andrew A Morrison,Bradley J. Molyneaux,Matthew Starr,Marcelo Rocha,Bradley A. Gross,Brian T Jankowitz,Tudor G Jovin,Ashutosh P Jadhav +9 more
TL;DR: Almost one-fifth of patients experience EFI and one-third of non-early improvers experience DFI, and younger age, lower 24 hours NIHSS score, and absence of parenchymal hemorrhage were independent predictors of DFI among non- early improvers.

Hemorrhage risk of cerebral dural arteriovenous fistulas following Gamma Knife radiosurgery in a multicenter international consortium
Robert M. Starke,David J McCarthy,Ching-Jen Chen,Hideyuki Kano,Brendan J McShane,John Y K Lee,Mohana Rao Patibandla,David Mathieu,Lucas T Vasas,Anthony M. Kaufmann,Wei Gang Wang,Inga S. Grills,Christopher P. Cifarelli,Gabriella Paisan,John A. Vargo,Tomas Chytka,Ladislava Janouskova,Caleb E Feliciano,Nanthiya Sujijantarat,Charles C. Matouk,Veronica Chiang,Judith Hess,Rafael Rodriguez-Mercado,Daniel A Tonetti,L. Dade Lunsford,Jason P. Sheehan +25 more
TL;DR: Spatients have similar rates of hemorrhage before and after radiosurgery until obliteration is achieved, but patients presenting with nonhemorrhagic neural deficits and a history of endovascular treatments had higher risks of post-GKRS hemorrhage.

Bigger is Still Better: A Step Forward in Reperfusion With React 71
Bradley A. Gross,Joseph S. Hudson,Daniel A Tonetti,Shashvat M Desai,Michael J Lang,Ashutosh P Jadhav,Brian T. Jankowitz,Tudor G Jovin +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated comparative angiographic and clinical outcomes between an 071 and 068 aspiration catheter for stroke thrombectomy and found that a newer, larger-bore catheter may be associated with a greater frequency of single pass cases and higher quality reperfusion, judged as TICI 2c-3 frequency after the first and final pass.

Pipeline Embolization of an Infectious Basilar Artery Aneurysm in a 2-Year-Old Child: Case Report, Discussion of the Literature and Perioperative Considerations
William J. Ares,Daniel A Tonetti,Stephanie Greene,Mahesh S. Sharma,Frederico Xavier,Brian T. Jankowitz,Ashutosh P Jadhav +6 more
TL;DR: Flow diversion of complex intracranial aneurysms in pediatric patients with significant medical comorbidities is feasible and safe; however, considerations have to be made in the pre- and perioperative care of these patients given the propensity for low-weight and complicated systemic disease processes.
