Identification of metabolic vulnerabilities of receptor tyrosine kinases-driven cancer
Nan Jin,Aiwei Bi,Lan Xiaojing,Jun Xu,Xiaomin Wang,Yingluo Liu,Ting Wang,Shuai Tang,Hanlin Zeng,Ziqi Chen,Minjia Tan,Jing Ai,Hua Xie,Tao Zhang,Dandan Liu,Ruimin Huang,Yue Song,Elaine Lai-Han Leung,Xiao-Jun Yao,Jian Ding,Meiyu Geng,Shuhai Lin,Min Huang +22 more
TL;DR: The authors show that in lung cancer, genetic activation of distinct oncogenic receptor tyrosine kinases results in unique metabolic liabilities and, in particular, EGFR aberrant cancers rely on the serine biosynthetic pathway while FGFR aberrants cancers reliance on glycolysis.
Modified citrus pectin inhibited bladder tumor growth through downregulation of galectin-3
Tian Fang,Dandan Liu,He-ming Ning,He-ming Ning,Dan Liu,Jing-ya Sun,Xiaojing Huang,Yu Dong,Yu Dong,Meiyu Geng,Meiyu Geng,Shi-feng Yun,Jun Yan,Ruimin Huang +13 more
TL;DR: The overexpression of galectin-3 was associated with high tumor grade with lymph node metastasis, poor overall survival in UBC patients, and MCP may become an attractive agent, as a natural dietary fiber, for prevention and therapy of UBCs.
Triptolide Inhibits the AR Signaling Pathway to Suppress the Proliferation of Enzalutamide Resistant Prostate Cancer Cells.
Yangyang Han,Weiwei Huang,Jiakuan Liu,Dandan Liu,Yangyan Cui,Ruimin Huang,Jun Yan,Ming Lei,Ming Lei +8 more
TL;DR: Triptolide at low dose inhibits the transactivation activity of both full-length and truncated AR without changing their protein levels, and shows a synergistic effect with enzalutamide to inhibit CRPC cell survival in vitro, and enhances the anti-cancer effect of enzymes on CRPC xenografts with minimal side effects.
