Structure and Properties of Violet Phosphorus and Its Phosphorene Exfoliation
Lihui Zhang,Hongyang Huang,Bo Zhang,Mengyue Gu,Dan Zhao,Xuewen Zhao,Longren Li,Jun Zhou,Kai Wu,Yonghong Cheng,Jinying Zhang +10 more
TL;DR: The thermal decomposition temperature of violet phosphorus was measured to be 52 °C higher than its black phosphorus counterpart which was assumed to be the most sable one, indicating that violet phosphorus is the most stable phosphorus allotrope.

Assembly of Ring‐Shaped Phosphorus within Carbon Nanotube Nanoreactors
Jinying Zhang,Dan Zhao,Dingbin Xiao,Chuansheng Ma,Hongchu Du,Xin Li,Lihui Zhang,Jialiang Huang,Hongyang Huang,Chun Lin Jia,Chun Lin Jia,David Tománek,Chunming Niu +12 more
TL;DR: A phosphorus allotrope that has not been observed so far, ring-shaped phosphorus consisting of alternate P8 and P2 structural units, has been assembled inside multi-walled carbon nanotube nanoreactors by a chemical vapor transport and reaction of red phosphorus at 500 °C.

H2O2 assisted hydrothermal oxidation of partially etched vanadium carbides (MXene) and their electrochemical properties as anode for Li-ion batteries
TL;DR: In this article, a partially etched V2CTx was oxidized in the presence of H2O2 through a hydrothermal reaction and the electrochemical properties of as-obtained oxidized V2ctx were assessed.

Nanocarved MoS2-MoO2 Hybrids Fabricated Using in Situ Grown MoS2 as Nanomasks.
Dingbin Xiao,Jinying Zhang,Xin Li,Dan Zhao,Hongyang Huang,Jialiang Huang,Daxian Cao,Zhihui Li,Chunming Niu +8 more
TL;DR: An in situ grown three-dimensional MoS2 nanomask has been adopted to control the morphology and hybridization of molybdenum compounds and synergistically enhanced the electrochemical performances of MoO2 andMoS2, especially at high current rates.

Enhanced cycling stability of ring-shaped phosphorus inside multi-walled carbon nanotubes as anodes for lithium-ion batteries
Dan Zhao,Dan Zhao,Jinying Zhang,Chengcheng Fu,Jialiang Huang,Dingbin Xiao,Matthew Ming Fai Yuen,Chunming Niu +7 more
TL;DR: A ring-shaped phosphorus allotrope has been synthesized inside multi-walled carbon nanotubes (r-P@MWCNTs) to provide an extremely high cycling stability as mentioned in this paper.
