In the process of learning a second or a foreign language, learners are often disturbed by the negative transfer of their native language thinking, which is especially evident in the process of foreign language writing. This thesis analyses the common errors caused by the negative transfer of native language in college students’ English writing from three aspects of lexicon, syntax and grammar by taking students’ writing texts on the iwrite evaluation system as the source of corpus analysis and explores to reveal the influence of the negative transfer of native language thinking on college students’ English writing.
