QoS-aware energy-efficient optimization for massive MIMO systems in 5G
Yuan Zhou,Dan Li,Haoyu Wang,Ang Yang,Shaozhen Guo +4 more
- 22 Dec 2014
TL;DR: The existence of a unique globally optimal power allocation using Lagrange multiplier method is demonstrated and numerical simulation results show that the number of transmit antennas plays an important role in increasing the energy efficiency.

Multi-cell coordinated beamforming and power allocation with large scale MIMO
Yuan Zhou,Dan Li,Ang Yang,Shaozhen Guo +3 more
- 01 Aug 2014
TL;DR: The zero-forcing transmit beamformer is utilizes, which has been proven as the simplest and optimal form for high SNR in large scale antennas system, and the approximately optimal algorithm and AINV based algorithm are proposed.

Joint Channel Estimation and Equalization in Massive MIMO Using a Single Pilot Subcarrier
Dan Li,Arman Farhang +1 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed a joint channel estimation and equalization technique that requires only one pilot subcarrier, reducing the pilot overhead by orders of magnitude, taking advantage of the coherent bandwidth spanning over multiple sub-carrier bands.
Optimal pilot design with CSI feedback in massive MIMO systems
Dan Li,Yuan Zhou,Ang Yang,Shaozhen Guo +3 more
- 01 Aug 2014
TL;DR: The asymptotically optimal solution for pilot design based on minimizing the Mean Square Error of channel estimation with both the Sum Power Constraint and the Per Antenna Power constraint using a t-norm approximation method is got.
