Electricity is one of the basic needs in humans' daily life. Life cannot be thought without electricity since modernization has made Air Cooler, heating system, and refrigerator, etc as a basic equipment in everyone’s life. Furthermore its widely seen that domestic, agricultural, and industrial settings would not function without electricity so the generation and transmission of the same with less losses is the need of the hour. The biggest problem occurring nowadays is the theft occurring, meters which are used for measuring the consumption of units do not account this power theft and other different tampering occurring in meters. This paper discusses an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart meter with fault detection and theft detection. Even the present conventional meters can be converted to smart energy meters with a simple change in circuit. It mainly consists of Arduino Uno, ESP8266, AC712 current sensors, etc Where the AC712 senses the current usage and with the help of ESP32 it is sent to the adafruit io IoT platform. From there the utility provider can real-time data like the voltage and current consumption, tariff. The proposed system also detects anomalies and theft occurring in the system with the help of an current sensor by measuring the incoming and outgoing current. The results of every cases has been shown in the adfruit io platform in the real time basis itself. 

Internet of Things based Smart Energy Meter with Fault Detection Feature and Theft Detection

Electricity has become the most important fundamental necessity of humans. It is very commonly used for domestic, agricultural and industrial purposes. The biggest problem in recent days is the mismanagement of consumption of electricity and protection of the machines and appliances. In countries like India, these situations are very common. If the anomalies are prevented and managed, a lot of energy can be saved and the appliances can be secured. This article describes the working of an IOT based automatic energy meter with billing and protection system using Arduino Uno, ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, ACS712 current sensors, ZMPT101B voltage sensor and MQTT protocol for communication with the user. This system displays energy consumed and the corresponding bill amount on the IO cloud which can be accessed by anyone with the key to the cloud. If the bill amount crosses a particular threshold amount, the information is communicated to the user through an email and does the same if there is an over-voltage across the load or line to ground fault. This system can replace the existing meters. This proposed system can monitor the meter readings, generate the bill amount and alert the user in cases of anomalies.

The development of science and technology is now increasingly providing convenience in everyday life. Various household appliances to office work tools use electronic devices so that human work is much lighter and easier. As an example of the use of an Arduino microcontroller which is used as an automatic bell time warning bell control. This research wants to provide a solution to these problems by giving automatic prayer times. The formulation of the problem in research is. (i) How do you design and implement a set of prayer time warning bell system tools? (ii) How do you test the series of prayer bell alert system tools? There are several research objectives including the following. (i) Can design and implement a series of prayer time warning bell system tools. (ii) Can produce a test time series of prayer time bell alarm system tools. The method in this study includes (i) analysis consisting of needs analysis, and analysis of work methods, (ii) Design consisting of Hardware Design, and Network Design (iii) Implementation consists of Hardware Implementation, Software Implementation , (iv) Testing Consists of Real Time Clock (RTC) Testing, Dfplayer Testing, i2c LCD Testing, System Testing Results, Telegram Testing. This prayer time automatic alarm bell is equipped with a dfplayer module that can play mp3, or wav, sound file formats. So the call to prayer information can play well. And this warning bell system will provide a notification to the telegram when the call to prayer time has arrived.

Robotics is a field concerned with the “intelligent connection of perception of action”. The most common manufacturing robot is the robotic arm with different degree of freedom. Today, these humanoids perform many functions to assist humans in different undertakings such as space missions, driving and monitoring high speed vehicles. They are called Humanoids because they resemble humans. The idea of this paper is to change perception of controlling robotic arm. This paper provides a way to get rid of old fashioned remote controls and gives an intuitive technique for implementation of Semi- Humanoid Gesture controlled robot. The motion sensors used are - flex and accelerometer (used in mobile phones for tilting motion). It includes two robotic arms which are exactly similar to human arms (with 5 fingers), increasing sensitivity of the system, a moving platform and a camera for capturing real time video. The prime aim of the system is to design a system in such a way that user can operate the robot with the ease through gestures. This involves movement of both robotic arms and platform in synchronous with user's hand and leg gestures respectively.

Wireless gesture controlled Semi-Humanoid Robot

Twenty-first century has endorsed for remarkable growth in technical as well as economic sectors, yet there remains the lack of proper waste management techniques in most countries. This paper focuses on implementation of a fully autonomous robotic device as part of the initial stage to ensure a hygienic environment for us to live in. The main idea was to design and implement a robotic device that collects garbage lying on corridors, large halls, or even a house, by recognizing the refuse using a computer vision system and picking up the same using a Robotic arm. This was realizable through expeditious background subtraction algorithms, which was later implemented on the computer vision module of a motor driven robot. The device embodies a tough chassis, a computer vision and video analysis module, microcontroller module, a sensor network and a precise robotic arm with actuators. The algorithms incorporated to the intelligence of the robot adopt the fundamentals of background subtraction algorithms in order to obtain accurate results accompanied with a faster computational speed. The Image processing unit was implemented using a Raspberry Pi 3 and a Pi Camera module.

Design And Implementation of Automatic Garbage Collecting Robot using Background Subtraction based Computer Vision Algorithm

In the past two decades there is a drastic improvement in the technology. The most common word is IOT (Internet of Things) which leads to improvement of Home automation. Switching ON the appliances at home and forgetting to turn them OFF leads to an increase in the daily power consumption. This paper presents the controlling of home appliances on the basis of pre-specified time which is defined from the user’s device; Arduino Ethernet shield, real-time clock, sensors and MOSFET keeping the internet as the medium of communication. This enables the user to monitor the energy usage and assists in minimizing the energy wastage. This prototype is designed for a low cost such that it satisfies the need of different classes of people by notifying them about their consumption by the means of an alert message. The message is sent when power consumption exceeds the limit set by the user making it more user-friendly. An additional task performed by the system is to isolate the load during the fault condition.
