TL;DR: In this article, a speech restoration system and a method for concealing packet losses is presented. But the system is not suitable for the use of speech modality and does not have the ability to produce an excitation signal corresponding to a lost frame.

TL;DR: Conventional transcoding algorithms on LSP, pitch and adaptive/fixed codebook conversion are refined with regard to the structure of the coders and a new perceptual weighting filter is proposed to improve the performance.
