Cryopreservation and cryotherapy of grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.)
Zvjezdana Marković,Darko Preiner,D. Stupić,Željko Andabaka,Silvio Šimon,Darko Vončina,Edi Maletić,J. Karoglan Kontić,Philippe Chatelet,Florent Engelmann +9 more
TL;DR: The cryopreservation protocol led to approximately 50 % recovery with cultivar 'Portan' and five international cultivars tested, but very low recovery was noted with Croatian cultivars.
Performance of grapevine grown on reclaimed Mediterranean karst land: Appearance and duration of high temperature events and effects of irrigation
Davor Romić,J. Karoglan Kontić,Darko Preiner,Marija Romić,Boris Lazarević,Edi Maletić,Gabrijel Ondrašek,Željko Andabaka,H. Bakić Begić,M. Bubalo Kovačić,Lana Filipović,Stjepan Husnjak,Zvjezdana Marković,D. Stupić,Ivana Tomaz,Monika Zovko +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of different irrigation levels on Babic grapevine performance were studied in two growing seasons (2015 and 2016) with contrasting weather conditions in a vineyard established on a parcel of land derived from the stony surface of a limestone plateau on the very edge of the Eastern Adriatic coast.

Differences in chemical composition of 'Plavac mali' grape berries
Darko Preiner,Ivana Tomaz,Zvjezdana Marković,D. Stupić,Željko Andabaka,Iva Šikuten,D. Cenbauer,Edi Maletić,J. Karoglan Kontić +8 more
TL;DR: The results obtained indicate that berry samples used to compare different clones should be at the same level of ripeness, as this significantly effects chemical composition, and can be achieved using the density separation of berries with the simple flotation method presented.
Intravarietal agronomic variability in croatian native "Vitis vinifera" L. Cultivar Grk with female flower and seedless berries
TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of the different proportion of seedless berries on grape yield and quality of Grk clones was investigated and a high positive correlation was found between the seedless berry proportion and single berry weight, must tartaric acid content, and free volatile terpenes.
Ampelographic and genetic characterization of Croatian grapevine varieties
Edi Maletić,Ivan Pejić,J. Karoglan Kontić,D. Zdunić,Darko Preiner,Silvio Šimon,Željko Andabaka,M. Žulj Mihaljević,Marijan Bubola,Zvjezdana Marković,D. Stupić,Ana Mucalo +11 more
TL;DR: Results of multiannual ampelographic and genetic research concerning Croatian grapevines considered as autochthonous varieties classify Croatia as important gene-pool in Europe.
