Analysis of the unstable behaviour of a single-phase natural circulation loop with one-dimensional and computational fluid-dynamic models
D. S. Pilkhwal,Walter Ambrosini,Nicola Forgione,Pallippattu Krishnan Vijayan,D. Saha,J. C. Ferreri +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the results obtained using one-dimensional and three-dimensional computational fluid-dynamic codes for the prediction of the dynamic behaviour observed in experiments carried out in a single-phase natural circulation apparatus were discussed.

An assessment of pressure drop and void fraction correlations with data from two-phase natural circulation loops
TL;DR: In this article, an assessment of the commonly used and often cited correlations for pressure drop and void fraction has been carried out with data from natural circulation loops and the assessment showed that most correlations give predictions close to each other.

Reliable prediction of complex thermal hydraulic parameters by ANN
TL;DR: In this article, Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) have been applied to analyse the consistency and accuracy of the thermal hydraulic data-base, the ANN predictions are more accurate and cover wider range of parameters compared to model based predictions.

Experimental studies on the pressure drop across the various components of a PHWR fuel channel
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of bundle alignment at the junction and creep of fuel channels (both radial and axial) on pressure drop have been studied, and empirical correlations developed to predict the pressure drop for the various components of the fuel channel like rod bundles, end fittings, fuel locator and refuelling tools are presented.
