TL;DR: In this article, low-lying states in the isotope Xe130 were populated in a Coulomb-excitation experiment performed at CERN's HIE-ISOLDE facility.

Zielińska +46 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that radon isotopes undergo octupole vibrations but do not possess static pear-shapes in their ground states, and therefore radon atoms provide less favourable conditions for the enhancement of a measurable atomic electric-dipole moment.
Addendum: The observation of vibrating pear-shapes in radon nuclei
P. A. Butler,Liam Gaffney,Liam Gaffney,P. Spagnoletti,Joonas Konki,Marcus Scheck,J. F. Smith,K. Abrahams,M. Bowry,Joakim Cederkäll,Timothy Chupp,G. de Angelis,H. De Witte,P. E. Garrett,A. TL;DR: By performing additional analysis, the energies of most of the states are confirmed, several new states are identified, and one of theStates that was incorrectly represented in its energy in the original paper is updated.

TL;DR: In this paper, absolute cross sections for neutron transfer channels populated in the Rb94+Pb208 binary reaction were extracted identifying directly the lead isotopes with the high efficiency MINIBALL γ-ray array coupled to a particle detector combined with a radioactive Rb 94 beam delivered at Elab=6.2 MeV/nucleon by the HIE-ISOLDE facility.

TL;DR: In this paper, the contamination subtraction procedure is presented for the Coulomb excitation experiment of the exotic 206Hg nucleus, recently performed at CERN's HIE-ISOLDE facility, to account for the contribution to target excitation due to the strongly-present beam contaminant 130Xe.
