Papers
Self-diffusion in germanium isotope multilayers at low temperatures
Erwin Hüger,U. Tietze,D. Lott,Hartmut Bracht,Dominique Bougeard,Eugene E. Haller,Harald Schmidt +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, self-diffusion in single crystalline germanium was investigated between 429 and 596°C using G70e/Gnate isotope multilayer structures.
Migration and annihilation of non-equilibrium point defects in sputter deposited nanocrystalline alpha-Fe films
TL;DR: In this paper, volume self-diffusion is studied in ion-beam sputtered nanocrystalline Fe films on short time scales ( nat Fe (7nm)/ 57 Fe(3nm)] 15 isotope multilayers in order to derive the diffusivities.

Neutron Reflectometry: A Tool to Investigate Diffusion Processes in Solids on the Nanometer Scale
Harald Schmidt,Erwin Hüger,Sujoy Chakravarty,Jochen Stahn,Thomas Gutberlet,U. Tietze,D. Lott +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the method of neutron reflectometry (NR), which allows the detection of extremely short diffusion lengths in the order of 1 nm and below at corresponding low self-diffusivities between 10 -25 and 10 -20 m 2 S -1.

Nitrogen self-diffusion in magnetron sputtered Si-C-N films
Erwin Hüger,Harald Schmidt,Thomas Geue,Jochen Stahn,U. Tietze,D. Lott,Andreas Markwitz,Udo Geckle,Michael Bruns +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied self-diffusion in magnetron sputtered nitrogen-rich amorphous compounds of the system Si-C-N by using nitrogen as a model tracer and showed that a transient metastable region exists, where the structure of the material can be visualized as silicon nitride tetrahedra which are connected by carbo-diimide (-N=C=N-) bonds.
Self-Diffusion in Magnetron-Sputtered Nanocrystalline Fe Films
Sujay Chakravarty,U. Tietze,D. Lott,Michael Horisberger,Jochen Stahn,N. P. Lalla,Harald Schmidt +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, self-diffusion in magnetron sputtered nanocrystalline Fe films was investigated by neutron reflectometry on [natFe(10 nm)/57Fe(5 nm)]20 isotope multilayers between 310 and 510°C.
