Comparison of once-daily subcutaneous Fragmin with continuous intravenous unfractionated heparin in the treatment of deep vein thrombosis.
TL;DR: Fragmin given s.c. once daily in a fixed dose adjusted for body weight, is no less effective or safe than a continuous infusion of UFH in the initial treatment of acute DVT, irrespective of thrombus localisation.

TL;DR: This time sequence, and in vitro experiments, suggest the formation of antigen‐antibody complexes which might be responsible for inactivation of Asnase and for the development of hypersensitive reactions.

A human pharmacological study comparing conventional heparin and a low molecular weight heparin fragment.
TL;DR: Hemparin activity was significantly higher and the effect on APTT lower after LMWH fragment as compared to UFH in the same doses, and LMWH was found to be eliminated according to first order kinetics and there were no signs of dose dependency.

The duration of oral anticoagulation after deep vein thrombosis. A randomized study.
TL;DR: It is important to reduce unnecessary extension of oral anticoagulation after DVT in order to minimize the negative side-effects without increasing the recurrence rate and define the optimal duration of treatment.

Fragmin once or twice daily subcutaneously in the treatment of deep venous thrombosis of the leg.
TL;DR: It is concluded that Fragmin, administered as a single daily subcutaneous injection, is effective in the treatment of deep vein thromboses, and offers the advantages of reduced costs, despite higher price of the drug, including reduced nursing time.
