Progressive cholestasis and associated sclerosing cholangitis are frequent complications of COVID‐19 in patients with chronic liver disease
L. Hartl,Katharina Haslinger,Martin Angerer,Georg Semmler,Mathias Schneeweiss-Gleixner,Mathias Jachs,Benedikt Simbrunner,D. Bauer,Ernst Eigenbauer,Robert Strassl,Monika Breuer,Oliver Kimberger,D. Laxar,Katharina Lampichler,Emina Halilbasic,Albert Friedrich Stättermayer,Ahmed Ba-Ssalamah,Mattias Mandorfer,Bernhard Scheiner,Thomas Reiberger,Michael Trauner +20 more
TL;DR: Patients with NAFLD/NASH and metabolic risk factors are at particular risk for developing cholestatic liver failure and/or SSC after COVID‐19, and about 20% of patients with CLD develop progressive cholESTasis after SARS‐CoV‐2 infection.

Age‐adjusted mortality and predictive value of liver chemistries in a Viennese cohort of COVID‐19 patients
L. Hartl,Katharina Haslinger,Martin Angerer,Mathias Jachs,Benedikt Simbrunner,D. J. M. Bauer,Georg Semmler,Bernhard Scheiner,Ernst Eigenbauer,Robert Strassl,Monika Breuer,Oliver Kimberger,D. Laxar,Michael Trauner,Mattias Mandorfer,Thomas Reiberger +15 more
TL;DR: The coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID‐19) causes considerable mortality worldwide and the frequency and predictive role of abnormal liver chemistries in different age groups is investigated.

Obesity and its influence on liver dysfunction, morbidity and mortality after liver resection
Stephanie Kampf,Michael Sponder,Fabian Fitschek,D. Laxar,M. Bodingbauer,Carina Binder,Stefan Stremitzer,Klaus Kaczirek,Christoph Schwarz +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , Kampf, Michael Sponder, Fabian Fitschek, Daniel Laxar, Martin Bodingbauer, Carina Binder, Stefan Stremitzer, Klaus Kaczirek, Christoph Schwarz

Inadequate Energy Delivery Is Frequent among COVID-19 Patients Requiring ECMO Support and Associated with Increased ICU Mortality
Mathias Schneeweiss-Gleixner,Bernhard Scheiner,Georg Semmler,Mathias Maleczek,D. Laxar,M. Hermann,Alexander Hermann,Nina Buchtele,Eva Schaden,Thomas Staudinger,Christian Zauner +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors conducted a retrospective analysis of COVID-19 patients requiring venovenous ECMO support at a large tertiary hospital center and evaluated associations between nutrition support and outcome using Kaplan-meier and multivariable Cox regression analyses, finding that patients with a mean energy delivery of ≥70% of calculated targets during ECMO therapy had a better ICU survival compared to patients with unmet energy goals.

A retrospective study of sugammadex for reversal of neuromuscular blockade induced by rocuronium in critically ill patients in the ICU
TL;DR: Sugammadex has been used for reversal of neuromuscular blockade by vecuronium and rocuronsium in adults undergoing surgery in the intensive care unit setting as mentioned in this paper .
