TL;DR: In an open-label study, patients with early cervical carcinoma (FIGO 2009 stage IA2 to IIA1) were randomly assigned to Sentinel node (SN) resection alone (SN arm) or pelvic lymph node dissection (SN+PLND arm).

Comparison of open retropubic and laparoscopic colposuspension for treatment of stress urinary incontinence
TL;DR: LC operative time was longer than OC but women considered LC less painful than OC, women needed less postoperative analgesia, and the length of hospitalization and return to normal activity was shorter than OC.

Learning curves for transperitoneal laparoscopic and extraperitoneal endoscopic paraaortic lymphadenectomy.
TL;DR: Endoscopic extraperitoneal lymphadenectomy has a steep learning curve similar to that for trans peritoneal laparoscopy.

Does the use of pneumoperitoneum and disposable trocars prevent bowel injury at laparoscopy? A randomized experimental study in the rabbit
TL;DR: In the cases with prior abdominal surgery and abdominal wall adhesions, initial insufflation was safer than direct trocar insertion, but the use of disposable trocars did not improve the safety of the procedure.

An objective experimental assessment of the learning curve for laparoscopic surgery: the example of pelvic and para-aortic lymph node dissection.
TL;DR: It is feasible to assess the learning curve of trainee surgeons while performing laparoscopic pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy on pigs and a training programme such as this should prevent complications due to inexperience and should satisfy ethical and medico-legal considerations.
