Time course of the increase in airway responsiveness associated with late asthmatic reactions to toluene diisocyanate in sensitized subjects
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that TDI-induced late asthmatic response is associated with a reversible increase in airway responsiveness to methacholine and suggested that the TDI effect is linked to an acute inflammatory response in the airways.

TL;DR: Chest roentgenograms and pulmonary function studies were completed on 83 silicotic sandblasters; 61 returned for longitudinal study, with follow-up ranging from 1 to 7 yr, and X-ray evidence of disease progression between initial and latest films was sixty-three percent.
