A calculation procedure for the prediction of laminar flame speeds
TL;DR: In this paper, a computing procedure originally developed for the solution of steady two-dimensional boundary-layer equations has been used successfully to solve the equations of one-dimensional unsteady laminar flame propagation.

An experimental and theoretical investigation of turbulent mixing in a cylindrical furnace
TL;DR: In this article, a cylindrical furnace axially fired with a gaseous fuel from a concentric tube burner was used to make measurements of mixture fraction in combustion chambers.

The theory of steady laminar spherical flame propagation: Analogue solutions
TL;DR: In this paper, a resistance network analogue computer is used to calculate the temperature distribution of a laminar flame in gases with temperature-explicit reaction-rate curves, and it is shown that the effective radius of a spherical flame is under-estimated by the thin-flame approximation.

Flame propagation by non-branching chain reactions
J. Adler,D.B. Spalding +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a steady, one-dimensional, laminar flame propagation, proceeding by a non-branching chain reaction with negligible chain breaking is considered, and exact analytical solutions for the temperature gradient, radical concentration and flame propagation speed are obtained for particular systems of reaction rate functions.
