Nanoarchitectonics combines nanotechnology with existing fields such as organic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, materials science, microfabrication, and bio-chemistry. It is a concept to create the architecture of atoms, molecules, nanomaterials, and other units for use in functional material systems through various processes. Structural control through nanoarchitectonics can contribute to a variety of fields for advanced physical research. New physical properties can be controlled by forming atomic arrangements, molecular designs, polymer syntheses, crystal structures, self-assembled structures, and superstructures. Construction of nanospace structures can also elucidate the specific physical properties of molecules trapped in them. Thus, nanoarchitectonics has great potential to contribute to advanced physical research. This paper will discuss some perspectives, categorizing the examples into those that focus on structure formation, those related to optical and photonic functions, those that exploit electronic and electrical properties, and those oriented toward device applications. The presented examples ensure significant contribution of nanoarchitectonics to advanced physical research. 

Materials Nanoarchitectonics for Advanced Physics Research


 The cutting-edge thin film studies using the multiple-angle incidence resolution spectrometry (MAIRS) are introduced from the principle to forefront applications in a wide variety of research fields covering semiconductor material with respect to nanoarchitectonics. MAIRS basically reveals quantitatively optical anisotropy in thin films, which is mostly used for quantitative molecular orientation analysis of each chemical group for chemistry purposes. This works powerfully especially when the material has poor crystallinity that cannot be analyzed by X-ray diffraction analysis. As a matter of fact, MAIRS works as a role that compensates for the diffraction techniques, and the combination of MAIRS and the diffraction techniques has already established as the most powerful technique not to miss the molecular aggregation structure in thin films. In this review, in addition, another application for physics purposes is also introduced where phonon in thin films is discriminated from normal infrared absorption bands by using the MAIRS technique.

Multiple-angle incidence resolution spectrometry (MAIRS): applications in nanoarchitectonics and applied physics

The structural, electronic, optical, thermoelectric, and magnetic properties of the Perovskite PrFeO3: DFT and Monte Carlo simulations

Background: HPV is associated with some malignant neoplasms, especially cancers of the cervix, oropharynx, penis, anus and vulva. 
Aims: The aim of this study was to analyze the awareness of Human Papillomavirus-associated cancers among university students. 
Methodology: We conducted a cross-sectional research among medical students and student nurses from four institutions from June to December 2020. A questionnaire was utilized to obtain information about sexual behavior and awareness of HPV among those students. 
Results: A total of 201 undergraduates participated in the study. Of those 147 were medical students and 54 were student nurses. The majority were female 133 (66.17%), and the most frequent age group was 20-24 years old, amounting to 121 (60.20%) students. All participants knew that HPV causes cervical cancer. A little over half of the participants 107 (53.23%) knew the relation between HPV and penile cancer. Less than half 95 (47.26%) knew that HPV causes oropharyngeal cancer. However, only 10 (4.98%) knew that HPV causes anal cancer. 
Conclusion: In this study, medical and student nurses showed good awareness of the link between HPV and cervical cancer but limited knowledge of the causal link between HPV and oropharyngeal, penile and anal cancers.

Awareness of HPV-Related Cancers among University Students: A Cross-sectional Study

Abstract Purpose In this study, we aimed to determine the knowledge level of medical students regarding cancer risk factors (CRF). Methods This study was carried out in Gaziantep University (Gaziantep, Turkey) between February 10 and March 04 of 2022. A total of 532 students at Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine took part in the study. Results Of the students, 270 (50.8%) were female, 262 (49.2%) were male, and the mean age was 22.63 ± 2.66 years. The mean CRF knowledge score of the participants was 23.17 ± 7.20. Knowledge scores of women and men were similar (23.06 ± 7.35 vs 23.32 ± 7.08, respectively p = 0.674). Conclusions The most commonly known CRF was smoking and alcohol. It was determined that medical students had serious lack of knowledge about CRF. 

How Much Do Medical Students Know About Cancer Risk Factors?

lack of medical practitioners' knowledge about oral cancer has contributed to delays in referral and treatment. Oral cancer is amenable to treatment when detected early, which leads to better prognosis and survival rates. In this study, we aimed to assess the knowledge of the Syrian medical students about the risk factors of oral cancer, oral cavity changes associated with oral cancer, and the relation between the relation with Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and oral cancer.This is a cross-sectional study conducted at the Syrian Private University. Data were collected through self-administered questionnaires, which targeted social demographic information, general knowledge, risk factors, oral changes and HPV knowledge associated with oral cancer. Data was categorized and analyzed to assess and compare the levels of knowledge between clinical and preclinical students.301 out of 401 medical students responded to the questionnaires bringing the response rate to 75.25%. The study revealed adequate knowledge about oral cancer, general information, clinical features, risk factors and relation to HPV. Clinical students showed higher levels of awareness compared to pre-clinical students. No significance in knowledge was found between the genders.The findings of the present study suggest that there is a need to reinforce the medical curriculum concerning oral cancer education, particularly in prevention and early detection to improve practices.

Oral cancer knowledge and practice among medical students: A cross-sectional study during the Syrian crisis

Detailed Structural, thermoelectric, electronic and magnetic properties of the ternary rare-Earth based XMn2Si2 (X=Dy, Er) Compounds, are investigated using the full-potential linearized augmented-plane wave (FP-LAPW) method with generalized gradient approximation (GGA+U) in ferromagnetic phase. The basic calculations of optimization are found with the support of (PBE-GGA) to realize theoretical consistency with existing experimental consequences, although for the enhancement of magneto-electronic part the (GGA+U) technique is employed. We have identified theoretically that the ferromagnetic is the most suitable phase among three studied phases for these compounds agree well with previous experimental works. The electronic band structure indicates that these compounds are metallic through both spin channels in the FM phase. A secure hybridization occurs between the elements Dy/Er-f and Mn-d states in the valence band and the Si-p state in the conduction band. The total magnetic moments verify that the rare-Earth based DyMn2Si2 ternary inter-metallic compound showcases stronger ferromagnetic behavior patterns than the ErMn2Si2 compound. We estimated the Seebeck coefficient S, electrical and thermal conductivities, and the ZT in this study over the temperature range of 0 to 800 K. The ErMn2Si2 is a viable contender for high-temperature applications in waste heat management because of its high ZT values in the high-temperature region in thermoelectric devices.

Structural, Thermoelectric, Electronic, and Magnetic Properties of Pristine Intermetallic Rare-Earth-Based XMn2Si2 (X=Dy, Er) Compounds

Systematic studies of the structural, optoelectronic and thermoelectric characteristics of Hafnium based zintl HfCu2X2 (X= N, P, As, Sb and Bi) compounds

Metal silicates, obtained from abundant components in Earth's crust, could offer desirable activity and selectivity in catalytic applications. In this study, density functional theory (DFT), time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT), and Hartree-Fock (HF) calculations were employed to compute specified features of acrylates-based n-type organic semiconductors synthesized by copper(0)-mediated reversible deactivation radical polymerization (Cu0-RDRP). After performing the molecular optimization, particular features of the synthesized semiconductor structure were captured including IR, 1H and 13C NMR, and UV–visible spectra, TDOS spectrum, HOMO and LUMO patterns, and energy gap. Lastly, the contour electron density surface (ESP) and molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) plots were also computed utilizing the gauge independent atomic orbital (GIAO) approach. These analyses reveal existence of an electron cloud around the semiconductor. The role of atomic charge for the transmission of electrons has been well shown in changing cloud charge around the acrylate monomer after polymerization as well as in changing the negative charge from organic to inorganic area in the polymer. According to these analyses, well-agreeable compatibility was attained with by comparing our theoretical simulation data on the acrylate-based n-type organic semiconductors and the reported experimental results in literature.
