TL;DR: This paper investigated the thermoregulatory responses of the bank cormorant Phalacrocorax neglectus across a range of environmental temperatures at three nesting colonies and found that the time birds spent gular fluttering, a behaviour enhancing evaporative heat loss, increased with temperature.
