Comparison of vascular closure devices vs manual compression after femoral artery puncture: the ISAR-CLOSURE randomized clinical trial.
Stefanie Schulz-Schüpke,Sandra Helde,Senta Gewalt,Tareq Ibrahim,Maryam Linhardt,Katharina K. Haas,Katharina Hoppe,Corinna Böttiger,Philip Groha,Christian Bradaric,Roland Schmidt,Lorenz Bott-Flügel,Ilka Ott,Julia Goedel,Robert A. Byrne,Simon Schneider,Christof Burgdorf,Tanja Morath,Sebastian Kufner,Michael Joner,Salvatore Cassese,Petra Hoppmann,Christian Hengstenberg,Jürgen Pache,Massimiliano Fusaro,Steffen Massberg,Julinda Mehilli,Heribert Schunkert,Karl-Ludwig Laugwitz,Adnan Kastrati +29 more
TL;DR: In patients undergoing transfemoral coronary angiography, VCDs were noninferior to manual compression in terms of vascular access-site complications and reduced time to hemostasis.

HPA-1 and HPA-3 polymorphisms of the platelet fibrinogen receptor and coronary artery disease and myocardial infarction.
Corinna Böttiger,A. Kastrati,Werner Koch,Julinda Mehilli,H. Seidl,Schömig K,von Beckerath N,A Schömig +7 more
TL;DR: The H PA-1 and HPA-3 polymorphisms are neither separately nor in concert associated with any measurable increase of the risk for CAD or MI in angiographically evaluated subjects.

PlA polymorphism of glycoprotein IIIa and risk of adverse events after coronary stent placement
Adnan Kastrati,Werner Koch,Meinrad Gawaz,Julinda Mehilli,Corinna Böttiger,Kathrin Schömig,Nicolas von Beckerath,Albert Schömig +7 more
TL;DR: The isolated presence of the PlA2 allele in heterozygous patients is not associated with any detectable increase in the risk for an adverse 30-day outcome after coronary stenting, and this study suggests also that an increased risk is likely to be present in homozygous carriers of the Platelet antigen 2 allele, but this should be confirmed in a much larger series of patients.
72
Insertion/Deletion Polymorphism of the Angiotensin I-Converting Enzyme Gene Is Not Associated With Restenosis After Coronary Stent Placement
Werner Koch,Adnan Kastrati,Julinda Mehilli,Corinna Böttiger,Nicolas von Beckerath,Albert Schömig +5 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that routine determination of the ACE genotype may not help identify patients who are at a higher risk of thrombotic and restenotic events after coronary stent placement.

Glycoprotein Ia gene C807T polymorphism and risk for major adverse cardiac events within the first 30 days after coronary artery stenting.
Nicolas von Beckerath,Werner Koch,Julinda Mehilli,Corinna Böttiger,Albert Schömig,Adnan Kastrati +5 more
TL;DR: The C807T genotype has no significant influence on the major adverse events occurring after coronary artery stenting, and is not associated with a higher incidence of thrombotic events following coronary stenting.
