In silico searching of human and mouse genome data identifies known and unknown HNF1 binding sites upstream of β-cell genes
TL;DR: The computer search identified some known HNF1 sites, and suggested three novel sites indicating these genes are very likely to be directly activated by HNF2, which should help in designing experiments to discover the mechanisms of beta-cell dysfunction due to H NF1 disruption.

Rhian L Clissold,Helen C. Clarke,Olivera Spasic-Boskovic,Kim Brügger,Stephen Abbs,Coralie Bingham,Charles Shaw-Smith +6 more
TL;DR: Establishing a genetic diagnosis of ADTKD-REN in this individual with chronic anaemia, hyperuricaemia and slowly progressive renal impairment helped to identify a suitable live kidney donor and allowed successful pre-emptive transplantation to take place.
