The effect of completion strategy on fracture propagation from multiple cluster perforations in fossil hydrogen energy development
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of a completion scheme on simultaneous fracture propagation is proposed, in which the coupling fluid flow and stress interaction is considered, and a fracture propagation uniform index model is used to optimize the completion strategy.

Predicting the fracture initiation pressure for perforated water injection wells in fossil energy development
Yu Lu,Haitao Li,Cong Lu,Keliu Wu,Zhangxin Chen,Jing Li,Xiaoxu Tang,Xiaodong Huang,Mingdeng Tang +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a modified method was presented to accurately predict the fracture initiation pressure (FIP), in which the thermal effect and plugging effect were considered; moreover, the stress around perforations was analyzed.

- 30 Jun 2017
TL;DR: In this article, a method for optimization design of multi-segment clustering perforation positions of a horizontal well of a dense oil reservoir is presented, which comprises the following steps in sequence: (A) calculating a compressibility index profile of a vertical segment based on well logging data; (B) calculating physical index profile based on porosity, permeability, oil saturation and natural fracture development condition; (C) determining compressibility and physical evaluation standards of the horizontal segment through a probabilistic method, and determining segments with excellent comprehensive scores as'engineering dessert'
