This paper deals with the UAS trajectory planning and optimization using the operative meteorological data. The algorithm and software for UAS operators when preparation to UAS flight and for possible UAS flight correction during the mission realization were developed and studied. The detailed explanation of the algorithm operation was done. The interface of the developed software was analyzed from the position of the convenience to percept information. The simulation of the application operation was done and the results of simulation shows the correspondence of the current conditions and decision proposed by the DSS software

Although there are many forecasts regarding the impact of climate change on the aviation sector, a critical but frequently neglected dimension is the occupational safety risks faced by aviation professionals. This narrative review explores the potential impacts of the changing climate on the health and safety of aviation personnel. Furthermore, we examine the significance of resilience in helping these workers adapt and effectively manage climate-related challenges in their professional lives. Climate change poses increasing threats to the well-being of flight personnel through elevated temperatures, heightened ultraviolet radiation exposure, increased mental workload from extreme weather events, and other psychological stressors. Building resilience through workforce training, planning, and adaptation can reduce vulnerability. In future research, the iterative process of selecting measurement components to gauge the impact of climate change should balance feasibility, relevance for stakeholders, and accurately capturing exposure effects. For instance, while salivary cortisol measures stress biologically, assessments of depression or burnout may provide more nuanced insights on pilot health for industry decision-makers managing climate impacts. In conclusion, a strategic emphasis on enhancing the physical and psychological well-being of the aviation workforce is imperative for facilitating a more efficient adaptation within the sector. This is of paramount importance, considering the critical function that aviation serves in fostering human connectivity. Consequently, it is essential for regulatory bodies and policymakers to prioritize the safeguarding of employee health in the face of climate change challenges.

Central and eastern regions exhibit higher DA values because of lower atmospheric pressures at higher altitudes, while northeastern airports have lower DA values, attributed to colder temperatures and lower elevations. A crucial finding is the substantial impact of humidity on DA, particularly in the southern coastal regions, a factor often neglected in pilot training, highlighting the necessity to revise aviation education to include humidity’s impact on DA. The study advocates for a region-specific approach to Chinese aviation operations, tailored to local DA influences, and suggests strategic adjustments in flight planning and risk assessment to address these regional differences, enhancing aviation safety and efficiency.

With global warming, extreme high temperatures become more frequent and are an important factor affecting aircrafts’ takeoff performance. Using Community Earth System Model version 1 (CESM1) and Boeing Performance Software (BPS), the influence of increasing temperature on aircrafts’ maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) and takeoff distance is evaluated quantitatively in this study. The results show that the distribution of summer daily maximum temperature shifts obviously to higher temperature at all the chosen airports and the variation in temperature is larger at four airports (Jinan, Shanghai, Lhasa, and Urumqi) during 2071−2080 under the RCP8.5 scenario than that in the historical run (1991−2000). The warming air leads to the MTOW reducing and takeoff distance increasing. Taking the Boeing 737–800 aircraft as an illustration, the number of weight-restriction days increases significantly across the airports, which can influence airlines’ economic benefit and flight operations in the future. It is also found that the takeoff distance does not change linearly with temperature, but shows a stronger increase with higher temperature. The takeoff distance increases about 6.2% on average during 2071−2080 compared to 1991−2000 for the low-altitude airports, calling for an additional 113−222 m takeoff distance in future summers.
