This paper has presented the parallel cyclic redundancy check (CRC) technique that performs CRC computation in parallel superior to the conventional CRC technique that processes data bits serially. Also, it has showed that the implemented parallel CRC circuit had been successfully applied to the inductively coupled passive RFID system working at a frequency of 13.56MHz in order to process the detection of logical faults more fast and the system had been verified experimentally. In comparison with previous works, the proposed RFID system using the parallel CRC technique has been shown to reduce the latency and increase the data processing rates in the results. Therefore, it seems reasonable to conclude that the parallel CRC realization in the RFID system offers a means of maintaining the integrity of data in the high speed RFID system.

A general idea of implementing and managing real-time control on the VDN for rail transit vehicles is presented. In particular, the virtual device network considered in this paper is composed of Ethernet as the data network and LonWorks network as the device (control) network. A LonWorks/IP web server was used as a gateway to realize peer to peer data communication on the virtual device networks. Experimental results are given to validate the suggested architecture.

Real-time Control on LonWorks/IP Virtual Device Network(VDN) for Rail Transit Vehicles

GPS type portable-alarm-system is composed of satellite receiving equipment, signal transmission equipment, etc. Time errors occur because of the processing methods of the satellite receiving equipment and signal generator, the positional error of GPS itself, etc. With the recent rise of train speed, it becomes very important to secure the stability of portable-alarm-system from time errors. The present study estimated errors caused by the structure of portable-alarm-system, GPS errors, etc., and verified them. In addition, it examined the effects of such errors on portable-alarm-system according to train speed.

The equipment is opened and closed in connection to the doors of carriages. In order to operate the system safely， it is important to understand the characteristics of key parts. There are many parts and environmental factors such as voltage， current and temperature change but the present study measured the change rate of torque and energy changes according to the temperature of the driving motor and analyzed the characteristics of the changes and examined the features of a motor required for stable PDS and the conformability of control programs.
