Impact of Acquisition Geometry, Image Processing, and Patient Size on Lesion Detection in Whole-Body 18F-FDG PET
Georges El Fakhri,Paula A Santos,Paula A Santos,Ramsey D. Badawi,Clay Holdsworth,Annick D. Van den Abbeele,Marie Foley Kijewski +6 more
TL;DR: 3D imaging yielded better lesion detectability than 2D in patients of normal size, as 3D performance deteriorated in large patients, and CHO-SNR were 40% greater for AWOSEM, FBP-ATT, and FBPNAT than for OSEM (P < 0.05); in all patients, RVR yielded a systematic improvement in CHO- SNR over DWS in both 2D and 3D.

A Hierachical Evolutionary Algorithm for Multiobjective Optimization in IMRT
TL;DR: In this article, a hierarchical evolutionary multi-objective algorithm was developed to generate a diverse Pareto optimal set of IMRT plans that meet all clinical constraints and reflect the trade-offs in the plans.
Use of computerized tomography (CT) as an early prognostic indicator of response to imatinib mesylate (IM) in patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST)
Clay Holdsworth,Judith Manola,Ramsey D. Badawi,David Israel,Charles D. Blanke,M. von Mehren,Heikki Joensuu,Sasa Dimitrijevic,George D. Demetri,A. D. Van Den Abbeele +9 more
TL;DR: The hypothesis that only a small reduction in CT-BDM 1 month after therapy initiation is sufficient to predict freedom from failure in patients with advanced GIST treated with IM is supported.

Outcomes following radiation for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck: Associations between immune suppression and recurrence.
Mona Arbab,Danielle N. Margalit,Roy B. Tishler,Guilherme Rabinowits,Itai Pashtan,B.B. Borgelt,William D. Powlis,Clay Holdsworth,Laura E.G. Warren,Jonathan D. Schoenfeld +9 more
TL;DR: Data evaluating outcomes and patterns of recurrence following radiation therapy for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck are limited.
