Cardiac troponin T at 96 hours after acute myocardial infarction correlates with infarct size and cardiac function.
Henning Steen,Evangelos Giannitsis,Simon Futterer,Constanze Merten,Claus Juenger,Hugo A. Katus +5 more
TL;DR: The ability to quantify and the potential to distinguish effects of novel drug regimens on infarct size make cTnT attractive for routine practice and as a clinical end point.

Comparison of clinical benefits of clopidogrel therapy in patients with acute coronary syndromes taking atorvastatin versus other statin therapies.
Harm Wienbergen,Anselm K. Gitt,Rudolf Schiele,Claus Juenger,Tobias Heer,Christina Meisenzahl,Peter Limbourg,Claus Bossaller,Jochen Senges +8 more
TL;DR: In patients receiving atorvastatin therapy, clopidogrel therapy was associated with a significant decrease in mortality and stroke during univariate analysis and a moderate trend of reduced mortality and strokes without statistical significance in the multivariate analysis.

Gender Differences in Acute Non–ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction
Tobias Heer,Anselm K. Gitt,Claus Juenger,Rudolf Schiele,Harm Wienbergen,Frank Towae,Martin Gottwitz,Ralph Zahn,Uwe Zeymer,Jochen Senges +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined data from the Acute Coronary Syndrome registry, which enrolled 16,817 patients from 2000 through the end of 2002, 6,358 of them with NSTEMIs (34.1% women).

Incidence and clinical impact of right bundle branch block in patients with acute myocardial infarction: ST elevation myocardial infarction versus non-ST elevation myocardial infarction.
Thomas Kleemann,Claus Juenger,Anselm K. Gitt,Rudolf Schiele,Steffen Schneider,Jochen Senges,Harald Darius,Karlheinz Seidl +7 more
TL;DR: Unlike R BBB in STEMI, RBBB in NSTEMI is not an independent predictor of inhospital and long-term mortality, and is not independently associated with a worse outcome.

Impact of ramipril versus other angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors on outcome of unselected patients with ST-elevation acute myocardial infarction
Harm Wienbergen,Rudolf Schiele,Anselm K. Gitt,Claus Juenger,Tobias Heer,Christina Meisenzahl,Helmut Landgraf,Claus Bossaller,Jochen Senges +8 more
TL;DR: The treatment with ramipril compared with the treatment without ACE inhibitors was associated with a significantly lower hospital mortality and a lower rate of nonfatal major adverse coronary and cerebrovascular events.
