Novel non-β-lactam inhibitor of β-lactamase TEM-171 based on acylated phenoxyaniline
Vitaly G. Grigorenko,I. P. Andreeva,M. Yu. Rubtsova,I.M. Deygen,R. L. Antipin,Alexander G. Majouga,Alexey M. Egorov,Daria A. Beshnova,Johanna Kallio,Claudia Hackenberg,Victor S. Lamzin +10 more
TL;DR: A new type of non-β-lactam β- lactamase inhibitor PA-34 based on natural phenoxyaniline is presented, identified using computer-assisted screening of scaffolds related to those of known low-affinity inhibitors.

TL;DR: It is proposed that the TEN domain assists telomerase biological function and is involved in restricting the size of the heteroduplex during telomere repeat synthesis.
Structural and functional insights into the unique CBS-CP12 fusion protein family in cyanobacteria.
Claudia Hackenberg,Johanna Hakanpää,Fei Cai,Svetlana V. Antonyuk,Caroline Eigner,Sven Meissner,Mikko Laitaoja,Janne Jänis,Cheryl A. Kerfeld,Cheryl A. Kerfeld,Elke Dittmann,Victor S. Lamzin +11 more
TL;DR: Structural insights into CP12 are provided by investigating an uncharacterized CP12 fusion protein, CBS–CP12, which is widespread among cyanobacteria, and revealed that the domain fusion led to the formation of a hexameric protein.
