Longitudinal immune profiling reveals key myeloid signatures associated with COVID-19.
Elizabeth R. Mann,Elizabeth R. Mann,Madhvi Menon,Sean Knight,Sean Knight,Joanne E. Konkel,Christopher Jagger,Tovah N. Shaw,Siddharth Krishnan,Magnus Rattray,Andrew Ustianowski,Andrew Ustianowski,Nawar Diar Bakerly,Paul Dark,Graham M. Lord,Angela Simpson,Timothy Felton,LP Ho,Nihr Respiratory Trc,Marc Feldmann,Circo,John R. Grainger,Tracy Hussell +22 more
TL;DR: Findings lend support to the idea that therapeutic strategies targeting release of myeloid cells from bone marrow should be considered in this disease and demonstrate that features of an exaggerated immune response are present early after hospital admission suggesting immune-modulating therapies would be most beneficial at early timepoints.

Longitudinal immune profiling reveals distinct features of COVID-19 pathogenesis
Elizabeth R. Mann,Elizabeth R. Mann,Madhvi Menon,Sean Knight,Sean Knight,Joanne E. Konkel,Christopher Jagger,Tovah N. Shaw,Siddarth Krishnan,Magnus Rattray,Andrew Ustianowski,Andrew Ustianowski,Nawar Diar Bakerly,Paul Dark,Graham M. Lord,Angela Simpson,Timothy Felton,LP Ho,Nihr Respiratory Trc,Marc Feldmann,Circo,John R. Grainger,Tracy Hussell +22 more
TL;DR: This is the first detailed longitudinal analysis of COVID-19 patients of varying severity and outcome, revealing common features and aspects that track with severity and providing clues concerning pathogenesis that should influence clinical trials and therapeutics.
Structural epitope profiling identifies antibodies associated with critical COVID-19 and long COVID
Patrick K. A. Kearns,Mihaly Badonyi,K. Lee,O. Fleming,L. Gerasimivicous,Sabrina Benton,J. Guy,Skot Neilson,Helen Wise,Scott A. Jenks,Kate Templeton,Christina Dold,Teresa Lambe,Alexander J. Kleinjan,Nguepidjo Gilbert +27 more
TL;DR: This work identifies patterns of antibodies associated with immunopathology, including a non-isotype switching IgM response to a membrane protein epitope strongly associated with severe COVID-19 and suggests the mechanism is T independent B cell activation.
