Identification of a Small Molecule with Strong Anti-Inflammatory Activity in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis and Sepsis through Blocking Gasdermin D Activation
Runjing Cao,Zihao Li,Chuyu Wu,Senlin Ji,Yahui Li,Xiang Cao,Xiaohong Dong,Meiling Jiang,Tao Pang,Chenhui Wang,Jingwei Li,Yun Xu,Cun-Jin Zhang +12 more
TL;DR: Oral administration of C202-2729 was capable of attenuating EAE disease severity significantly and has the comparable effects to teriflunomide, the first-line clinical drug of multiple sclerosis.

A monoamine oxidase B inhibitor ethyl ferulate suppresses microglia-mediated neuroinflammation and alleviates ischemic brain injury
Xinxin Zou,S. Gao,Jiangnan Li,Chenggang Li,Chuyu Wu,Xiang Cao,Sheng-Nan Xia,Pengfei Shao,Xinyu Bao,Haiyan Yang,Pinyi Liu,Yun Xu +11 more
TL;DR: This study found that Ethyl ferulate suppressed pro-inflammatory response triggered by lipopolysaccharide stimulation in primary microglia and BV2 cell lines, as well as post-stroke neuroinflammation in an in vivo transient middle cerebral artery occlusion stroke model in C57BL/6 mice, consequently ameliorating ischemic brain injury.

T Cell Subsets and Immune Homeostasis.
Chuyu Wu,Mei-Ling Jiang,Tao Pang,Cun-Jin Zhang +3 more
TL;DR: This chapter summarizes the functions of some key T cell subsets and their impact on immune homeostasis among the T cell family members.
Identification of D359-0396 as a novel inhibitor of the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome
Zihao Li,Senlin Ji,Chuyu Wu,Jia-Yong Wu,Runjing Cao,Yunshu Wang,Yun Xu,Jingwei Li,Cun-Jin Zhang +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the anti-pyroptosis and anti-inflammation effect of D359-0396 has been evaluated in both mouse and human macrophages using more than 20,000 small molecules and found that the drug is well-tolerant without remarkable disruption of homeostasis.
