The method comprises first installing an acoustic emission sensor and designing a wireless temperature measurement system which is applied to the blast furnace top gearbox; carrying out real-time collection of acoustic emission signals and wireless temperature signals, and carrying out treatments of morphological filtering, wavelet de-noising, and Hilbert demodulating sequentially on the collected acoustic emission signals; carrying out a trend analysis on the wireless temperature signals; carrying out a detection of conventional physical and chemical indicators on an oil sample through a regular oil detection, and carrying out a qualitative analysis and a quantitative analysis on compositions and contents of metal wear particles in the oil sample by adopting a spectrum analysis and a ferrographic analysis; making a fault diagnosis report by comparing and synthesizing the three types of analysis results. The method of the invention can improve accuracy the rate of fault diagnosis effectively, which is convenient for discovering hidden faults and prevents occurrence of major accidents.
