TL;DR: Combined epidemiological and phylogenetic analyses indicate multiple independent introductions to Guangdong, although phylogenetic clustering is uncertain because of low virus genetic variation early in the pandemic.

Clinical, immunological and virological characterization of COVID-19 patients that test re-positive for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR
Jing Lu,Jing Lu,Jinju Peng,Jinju Peng,Qianling Xiong,Qianling Xiong,Zhe Liu,Huifang Lin,Xiaohua Tan,Min Kang,Runyu Yuan,Lilian Zeng,Pingping Zhou,Chumin Liang,Lina Yi,Louis du Plessis,Tie Song,Wenjun Ma,Jiufeng Sun,Oliver G. Pybus,Changwen Ke +20 more
TL;DR: Re-positive SARS-CoV-2 was not caused by the secondary infection and was identified in around 14% of discharged cases suggesting a lower transmission risk, especially through a respiratory route.

The uncoupling of all-cause excess mortality from Covid-19 cases and associated hospitalizations in late winter and spring of 2022 in a highly vaccinated state.
TL;DR: In a highly vaccinated state with a recent wave of SARS-CoV-2, all-cause excess mortality was uncoupled from new case counts, indicating the possibility of temporary protection from the most severe outcomes related to Covid-19 among high-risk individuals.

Refocus on Immunogenic Characteristics of Convalescent COVID-19 Challenged by Prototype SARS-CoV-2
Xiao-Lan Huang,Chumin Liang,Manman Li,Huimin Chen,Zhao Hong Li,Q. Ruan,Xi-min Hu,Lilian Zeng,Huifang Lin,Wei Zhao,Jianpeng Xiao,Limei Sun,Jiufeng Sun +12 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors examined the effect of the COVID-19 vaccine against the emerging Variants of Concern (VOCs) of SARS-CoV-2 virus and found that Humoral immunity antibodies from the original strain showed weak neutralization effects against VOCs.
